What we collect

• Handle. A pseudonymous username you choose at signup. Public to opponents.
• Password. Stored hashed via Supabase Auth. We never see your plaintext password.
• Stances. The topics you care about and which corner you take. Public to opponents matched on that topic.
• Debate content. Messages you send during a 15-minute fight. Visible to your opponent and to platform admins reviewing reports.
• Reputation. A score derived from opponent ratings of your good faith.
• IP address (hashed). One-way hash for spam protection and rate limiting. Never linked to your handle in our exposed surfaces.
• User agent. Browser identifier for abuse detection.

What we don't collect

• Your real name.
• Your email address (unless you opt in to recovery — currently disabled).
• Your phone number.
• Your physical location.
• Photos or biometric data.
• Third-party tracking pixels or behavioral ad cookies.

Who can see what

Your handle, reputation, and stances are visible to anyone you're matched with and on shareable fight cards. Debate content (messages) is private between you and your opponent except when reviewed for safety after a report. Platform admins can read flagged messages.

Your rights

You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time. Email us via a link in your dashboard (coming soon) or message us through the support channel listed in the House Rules. We comply with GDPR and CCPA — California, EU, and UK users have additional rights to access, port, and rectify their data.

Third parties

We use Supabase (US-hosted) for authentication and data storage, and Vercel for hosting. Both are SOC 2 compliant. No advertising networks. No analytics that share data with third parties for marketing.

Children

PickAFight is 18+ only. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has signed up, report them and we'll delete their account immediately.
